ABOUT ME

I am Atakan Köse, a film director and screenwriter
from Istanbul, born in 1995.
After completing my cinema studies at Beykent University, I pursued a master’s degree in the field, expanding my academic and creative vision. My passion for storytelling led me abroad, where I lived in Baltimore and Amsterdam to conduct research and gain first-hand experience in the global film industry.
My directorial debut Parallel was nominated for Best Experimental Film in festivals across Moscow, Hong Kong, and Pakistan, and I was among the young directors invited to the prestigious Global University Film Awards in Hong Kong. Over the years, I have directed socially conscious films such as Flooded and Duvak, addressing environmental issues and women’s rights, while my film Haze received multiple awards including Jury and Honorary Awards in Los Angeles.
Beyond cinema, I am the founder of Twentie’s Film, an award-winning production company where I write and direct advertising films. I also have strong skills in editing, 3D & CGI production, and collaborate with international talents to bring bold ideas to life.
Recently, I had the privilege of representing my work at the World Youth Festival Assembly in Russia, where I was deeply inspired by the power of global collaboration and creative exchange. These international experiences continue to shape my vision as I pursue projects that connect people through stories across borders.
